Disney Luggage Tags......

Hello Crafty Friends.....
todays post is for my DT spot at She's a Sassy Lady.....today I have a set of Luggage Tags I made for my family's recent trip to Disney World....( I am there right now!!!!!)...
I recently bought the Your Story from Cricut.com (what a GREAT Deal if you are looking to purchase one) and I have not had the chance to use it...so today we will try it out for the first time together...

 I cut out 2 black and one white to make 1 tag, the white was for the back, so we were able to write our info on them...then I used my ATG to adhere the 3 ears together...

 for the girls I used my Gypsy to weld Minnie's Bow to Mickey's ears...
(soooo cute!!!!!)

 the girls definitely out number the boys!!!!

  I must add some Glitter.....get out your Stickles....

 now lets Laminate.....turn on your Your Story....and you must push the Laminate button...lol....(I didn't hehehe) now open the laminating sheets and place the ears in between, with a little space between them

 here it is going through the laminator

now using my Big Bite I punched a hole in the ear..

now add a little pretty ribbon for the girls....( pink Zebra Ribbon from 

Wal Mart.)

and a little black ribbon for the boys....

 and here are my Minnie Ears on My suit case....all ready for take off to the Happiest Place on Earth....

Campin' Critter Tent and Birthday Card

Hello Crafty Friends,
I hope you all are having a Fabulous day......
today is my day to share a project over at She's A Sassy Lady....
Thank you so much Sheila for letting me visit you once a month.....

I just bought the Campin' Critters Cartridge and is it cute.....we love to camp so I knew I had to have this cartridge, I don't know about you but I just LOVE to open a new Cartridge, and look through the booklet, I think I look at it 3 times....right in a row...

as soon as I saw the 3D dome tent I knew that would be my first cut...so lets put it together.....
After choosing my Colours, I laid out the images on my Gypsy, to get the Largest Tent I could, I put the tent bottom on an angle on my screen.then using My Expression I cute out each piece.

and I made sure I keep all the pieces together, so I could easily identify each piece

using a bone folder, I scored all my marks, (there are little tick marks that show you where to score..

 and following the instruction from the book, I started adding pieces to the tent, using my ATG gun...

  and Scotch Quick Dry...(love this stuff) and it is strong enough to hold the little taps to the sides of the tent....

 here is the tent...almost done.

 this is the bottom of the tent, here you can see the green Fly can be glued or just tucked in, I choose to just tuck it in so the boy I am making this for can get in through the door or the top of the tent...

 here it is all done, so fun to put together......and  I think the perfect way to give a gift card.....my friends little boy just turned 7 and he loves to go camping, so I made this for my buddy Ivan, and used the tent to hold a gift card....

 now I could just give him the tent, I had to make a card to go with it.... so here is how I laid out my cardstack....

 and here it is cut out

 all cuts are from Campin' Critters except the Happy Birthday , that is from CAC. Campin' Critter even has a card funtion, this shape card is just too cute, and that little skunk roasting a marshmellow...love it...my buddy Ivan is the BEST marshmellow roaster, he makes me perfect toasty brown mashmellows everytime we are camping.....I also added some stickles to the fire,and some brown ink to the Marshmellow....

 the images from this cart are so easy to but together, only a few layers...super cute.....

 he LOVED his card and tent...and especially the gift card to the Game store....

She's A Sassy Lady Monthly Guest Designer Project

Hello all....
I hope you are all having a wonderful summer,
I just got back from a week of camping with family and friends, it was a wonderful week, and the weather could not have been better,

Today is my day over at She's a Sassy Lady, to be a Guest designer,  

but because I just got back from camping, and for the last 2 days I have been puppy-sitting I didn't have a lot of time to create something Fabulous....

but I have been playing around with an idea for card....
one of my girlfriends has a birthday at the end of this month, so I thought I would make her a card, she LOVES to fish....so I had to make her a fishing inspired card, I have been inspired by Sheila's Tri-Fold cards and thought of a triangle shaped one, so using my Gypsy I created a file...
 here is my fisher-women pieces

 and my pond pieces

  I inked all my pieces, here is the pond on the inside of the card

 a little greenery...

 and I added a Action Wobble to the Happy Birthday on the Front of the card

 Action Wobbles are so fun!!!!!

 and the inside ..( I really think I need to add a sun to the top )

A Pair of Doggie Cards

Hello my Crafty Friends.....

today I have a card I made to play along with Sheila at She's A Sassy Lady, Gypsy Made Simple-Word Shape Cards,  Sheila has theses GREAT video Tutorials every Saturday to help you learn to use your Gypsy's....she has so amazing tips, so you really should head over and get caught up with all her videos.....

So using my Gypsy, I designed this card, actually I was able to make 2 of the same cards at one time....just one of Sheila's GREAT tips, you already have everything out to make one card, why not make 2, there was just enough room on my mat to put 2 bases on 1 mat....

 here is all my layers, also on 1 mat...

 here is the base of the card, one is folded , and one is not...

 here is the dog I used, from my Favourite cartridge, Create A Critter

and here are my 2 cards......I am really happy with how they turned out....

and this is just a little close up, I did cut out his eyes, but decided to use some gogglie eyes, and instead of cutting out the layer on the pillow, I used some stickles, I LOVE stickles.....
the patterned paper is from Bo Bunny, and Jillie Bean Soup, and some scraps of paper, the Happy Birthday is from......oh no I forget, I think it is from a Martha Stewart Cake Cartridge....

Cri-Kits project for Kassidy's Birthday Bash

Hello Crafty Friends!!!!!
well I made it through the first day of being 40!!!! whew......LOL
so today I am here with another project for my friend Kassidy over at Inking It Up Crazy....It is her Birthday this month and she is celebrating all month long with her amazing creations, and some of her amazingly talented friends.....and I am sooo happy she asked me to play along and celebrate her Birthday with her.....
She asked us to come up with something using Cri-Kits.....if you don't have these yet, they are definitely a must have to go along with your Cricut...they are so much fun to use....for those of you  who don't know what Cri-Kits are...well they are a magnetic gel pen holder that replaces your blade, so instead of cutting you draw.....it is very cool!!!!
here is my card

 I used the glitter silver gel pen, the pink paper is from Stampin Up, and the Zebra paper is from michaels, I also used my I-Rock 

my card is 5x5 and the zebra is 4.5 x 4.5   

 I used my Corner Chomper....to round the edges....Love this tool

this is the LO on my mat to draw on the Happy Birthday Image from the Paper Lace cartridge ( this cartridge has some GREAT images to use with the Cri-Kits gel pens) 

sorry it is so hard to see,the silver is so glittery....it really looks nice in person...then with out unloading my Mat, and using my Gypsy I placed a circle on a new page on my Gypsy, and switched the Holder for the Blade, and pushed cut again, and there it is.....the gel pen drew instead of cutting all those lines, and then the circle cut....perfect....

the Happy Birthday is a layer on the Paper Lace cartridge.I used the Zebra Paper to cut it out and Layer it on my drawing  

then I used one large jewel and three smaller jewels to bling it up, oh I also added a piece of Pink Zebra ribbon, I picked it up at walmart.
I hope you like my card, it was a lot of fun to make,
and I will be sending it to a very special crafty friend who is celebrating her Birthday this month, I hope she will love it.

Guest Designer Day at She's A Sassy Lady.....Wall Hanging

Hello Crafty friends!!!!
today is my day as a Guest Designer at She's A Sassy Lady.....and my
40th BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! now I am not sure if I am very happy about turning 40...it is going to take some getting use too....
anyways, that is not what you all are here for, you all  wanna see a project............ so lets get to it....
Today I made a sign to hang, I think I am going to hang it in our Travel Trailer....

here is how I made it....

I picked this piece of woood up at the dollar store....

then I painted it blue.......

 I (heart )vinyl...........

I designed it on my Gypsy, then laid the vinyl out on my mat, be sure to change your Cricut setting to Kiss cut the vinyl...I put my speed at 2 my pressure at 2 and my blade depth at 4....

 this is called weeding, I left everything I was going to use on the sheet and removed all the vinyl I was not using....the Cartridge I used for the letters is Lyrical Letters, and I welded my letters together......

 here is the light house using the Life is a Beach Cartridge....

 I added the layers to the Light house before I placed it on my painted wood...
( LOVE my tweezer bees...a must have....)

 now instead of using transfer tape, which could be a little expensive, I use mesh drywall tape, it is kinda sticky in one side and you can get it at the dollar store( or BORROW some from the hubbies garage...hehehehehehe)

 now just using my finger I burnished the light house onto the wood, and slowly lift the tape up, then continue burnishing the light house to the wood....

 ( I love how it is looking!!!!!)

 you need to be a little more careful with the letters, just take it slow....

 and now I added a little bling to the sand, I Love stickles....

 and here is the finished wall hanging....and I am going to use a clear coat of spray sealer to finish it off....
I just LOVE how it turned out......I hope you do to....
