Sandal Mini Album

Hello everyone.....
how have you all been....
I know, I know....I have been MIA for quite a while now, here is a little bit of what has been going on in my world....since my last post  I have lost my Dad, he was only 60...Cancer......I miss him so much, before my dad passed he knew how upset I was at loosing my furbabie earlier this year and told me to find a puppy and he would get me an early b-day gift (I think he knew he would not be here for my B-day)......sooooo I found this little cutie..... this is Lola...at 8 1/2 n weeks old, she is a pug......( she is almost 6 months old now, and oh my..how much work is a puppy!!!! it has been 19 years since I have had a puppy!!!!!)

 I have really not been feelin to crafty, but it is time for me to get back in the craft room, and get creative!!!!
I would like to Thank Sheila (from She's A Sassy Lady) for being so patient with me and giving me this time to heal.....
 so for my project today at She's a Sassy Lady I have made a mini album.....a Sandal....so cute right....well here it is you be the judge...and please let me know what you think....
using cereal boxes I cut out a sandal for the first and last page(don't forget to flip 1 of your images for the last page)

Then I cut 2 in black card stock

 now glue it together, I used Scotch's Quick Dry

 next, I chose some patterned paper( from my stash) and inked all my edges...

 using my crop-a-dile big bite I punched holes in every layer

                     

I used binder rings to join it together

 so so so cute.....now to embellish....

I will be posting the Gypsy File for this project, but boy have I been having some Gypsy Issues......I did the update a while ago, and tried to use it the other day....an hour and a half later, with the help of the SWEETEST csa from Cricut we got it working....but today trying to cut this file....trouble, it keeps cutting the top of my sandal!!!!! so I want to re-do the file so no one has to waste as much paper as I did today...... so check back near the end of the week for the file to make your own!!!!

Scrapbook Lay Outs for She's A Sassy Lady

Hello my Crafty Friends......

Today is my day to post at She's A Sassy Lady, and a few friends that visit Sheila's blog have asked for more Lay Outs.....so..........

lets get started with a little chat....

I have had quite a week ....

a week ago today I lost my furbabie Brodie...it was just the saddest day, he was 13 and had been sick for about a month, we had to make the decision to put him down, it was the hardest thing I have ever had to do....he was the best dog, and just the love of my life, we rescued him when he was 2 from an abusive home, how anyone could have abused this beautiful creature I will never know, but I am so happy to have had him be part of our lives....

here is a picture of my Brodie, he is a Belgian Malinois, R.I.P. buddy, momma loves you......

 oh but wait, it doesn't stop there
 last Monday my dad ended up in the Hospital for 6 days,
he is very sick, he has Multiple Myeloma, he is doing well for now, he was diagnosed over 6 years ago... so everyday I have him here is a gift....
so needless to say, I have not felt very crafty this week.....
So instead I decided to share 2 scrapbook lay out's I did 2 years ago with you....

 This LO I lifted from the Talent Christina from Creations With Christina,

 it is hard to see in the pictures, but on the top right hand side of the blue is 4 blue hearts (cut from Plantin Schoolbook) at 1 inch. I also double matted my pictures and brodie was cut out using jubilee

 I did the same on the brown as I did on the blue and along the bottom of both sheets I cut out 7 more 1 inch hearts, and if you look hard enough you can see the brown on brown, it is really pretty in person...and the ribbon is from my stash.....

 here is a picture of the blue hearts on blue paper, 4 hearts are layered in the corner and then 3 along the bottom....( in the picture is my Brodies tongue, he had black spots on his tongue....I just loved his spots....it was so hard to get a picture of his spots...LOL

 here is a close up on the brown, I hope you can see the hearts....

and here is another LO I did of my Brodie, sorry for the glare....
I loved to dress him up....he did not love it as much as I did,,,
but doesn't he look just too cute!!!! LOL

 boy oh boy can you tell this LO is pre Cricut......and one of my first scrapbook LO's...thank goodness for Provo Craft, my Expression has really improved my LO's, oh and a little tip Ladies, when I first started scrapping, I bought the cheaper adhesives.....I can tell not a great idea, unless 3 years later you want to re-do those LO's. All the LO's I did before my ATG all let go, I needed to re stick them all......wow what a job......so don't CHEAP out on the adhesives.....

A Non-Crafty Post Today

Hello Crafty Friends, 

today is just a Quick post to wish my Handsome Son a Happy 19th Birthday, I can't believe he is 19 today, 

here is a picture of him sound asleep with his arms reaching above him, he is about a week old here so cute....and his grade 12b photo 

I just LOVE this pic of him, ,it looks like he is praying....he is about a 2 weeks old here, so cute...

Birthday Card

Hello Crafty Friends, 

just a quick post with a Birthday Card I made for my Dad, he turned 60 this year, this is a tri-fold card, I learned how to make these thanks to Sheila at She's A Sassy Lady, these are so fun to make, and once you make a template on your Gypsy, the possibilities are endless......you can find out how to make the template here...she has the most amazing videos, if you are not to familiar with your Gypsy Sheila has many videos to help you out....

  the frog is from Boys Will Be Boys, and the balloons are from Birthday Bash,

 the back layer of the card is were  welded the balloons

 the middle layer is were I welded the frog, I also added gogglie eyes

  and I saved Happy Birthday for the front layer....

 I really like how the colours pop off the black card

  I also made this poster board with Happy 60th Birthday G.O.M. (he calls himself the Grumpy Old Man...GOM lol) even though he really is the total opposite,

we thought it would be fun to have everyone who came to his party to write him a little message, His party was just GREAT!!!! and he loved his card,

here is my Dad the day before his party, ( his actual birthday) with the birthday cake I made him....yes I know it is pink, but that is what happens when you try to make a Cherry cake with cherry filling and cherry icing, you mix the cherry filling with the white frosting, you get pink...sorry dad, LOL I was so happy to celebrate my dads 60th birthday , the doctors told us when he was 54 he would only live 3 to 5 years, he was diagnosed with Multiple Myloma over 6 years ago, it is a rare type of cancer...so 6 years later I look at everyday with my dad as a gift, and treasure every moment I spend with him....

Valentines Day Card

Hello Crafty Friends, 

I hope you all are well today.

Today is my day to share a project over at She's A Sassy Lady, if you haven't visited Sheila's Blog, you must head over there, she has weekly challenges....with prizes.....and the most amazingly talented designers in this bloggy world!!!! 

For my project today, I decided to do a shape Valentines Day Card for my hubbie......

So using my Gypsy, I welded 2 images together, The image I used was the Shadow feature of the Bustier from Tie The Knot Cartridge.

 I used all the layers for the bustier....

 using all Stampin Up Paper this is the card and front layer of my card

 the other 2 layers are white and black

 here is my card standing on it's side....

 I put my layers together, and added pop dots for a little dimension..

 I used Diamond Stickles on the buttons and white area....LOVE me some Stickles....

  I still thought it needed a little something else, so I brought out some Glossy Accents......

 here is the glossy accents still wet, it takes a little bit to dry, but it adds a great effect to the card....

 I love how it turned out.....

She's A Sassy Lady Last Minute Gift Idea....

Hello everyone,
and Merry Christmas!!!!!!!
I can't believe how fast this year has gone by, I am so honored to be part of Sheila's Sassy Designers.....I can't believe that I am part of this Amazing group
Thank you so much Sheila for letting me share with your friends today...
Today is an Idea I saw on the Cricut Message Board,(I jUst LOVE the message board) I am So sorry  that I can not remember who it was, I will look for it, and try to post it, because she did an amazing job and deserves the credit.....
Now onto my project...

using this Diploma Frame, I purchased at Wal-Mart for $3.00

 I Cut the back off using my Exacto Knife,

 then using my glue gun, I glued the glass to the frame....

here is the frame with the glass glued to it, I didn't want my frame to have a back...

 and here is the finished frame, I used my Gypsy to weld the lines to the G then I had to use my exacto knife to cut the middle of the G,
the font I am using is from Martha Stewart Seasonal Cake Art Cartridge, and the & is from, Gypsy Font .....

I used Cricut Vinyl, and put it on the Front of my Frames, these were pretty easy to make, but you DEFINITELY want to used transfer tape or my Cheaper version....... drywall mesh tape, it works GREAT and I have used the same pieces of Drywall tape to make 6 of the frames so far...not to bad for dollar store tape...there are so many possibilities for these frames, I hope you will give it a try, and be sure to let me know if you make some I would LOVE to see them,
 I am making 9 of these for gifts this year , and I just LOVE how they turned out, and I hope you do too.....
